About Muza

In the pulsating heart of the Bangladeshi pop scene, a new rhythm emerges, carried forward by the dynamic duo, Muza and G' Anomaly, commonly known as Gabe. This innovative pair is spearheading an audacious transformation of Urban Bengali music, leaving an indelible mark within a startlingly short time frame. Their harmonious blend of distinct musical backgrounds and cultural roots has culminated in a fresh, genre-defying sound that has resonated with audiences worldwide.

Muza, the Bangladeshi immigrant turned musical maestro (lead singer, songwriter and producer), found his muse in the magnetic charm of Habib Wahid's songs. His journey, from a detached observer to a passionate advocate of Bangla music, is reflected in his artistry. Muza's music bravely confronts the stagnation of traditional Bangla sounds, reviving them with a vibrant, contemporary edge that borrows from his experiences in the Western music scene.

As Muza breathes new life into Bangla music, he's accompanied by Gabe, a New Yorker of Colombian descent. Gabe, a virtuoso in visual arts, serves as the creative dynamo behind the scenes. The duo's seamless melding of diverse influences and Gabe's vision have catapulted them into the spotlight, earning them a reputation for crafting music that is both addictive and emotionally resonant.

Their ambitious mission extends beyond individual acclaim. They aspire to shape the sonic landscape of Bangla music by cultivating a new generation of artists and injecting fresh stylistic nuances into Bangla folk. The duo's ethos rests on originality, and they urge budding artists to heed the primal call of music's frequencies, the unseen force that first captivates the listener's psyche.

Their genre-defying tracks have amassed a colossal following, with their singles "Jhumka" and "Noya Daman" racking up views in the hundreds of millions on YouTube. Muza's linguistic prowess, spanning English, Spanish, Bangla, Hindi, and Arabic, has won him accolades for his innovative fusion of Bangla folk with urban pop, effecting a cultural awakening among young Bengalis.

In the grand symphony of the Bangladeshi pop music scene, the distinct beat of Muza's music reverberates powerfully. Yet, the future of any musical genre is an intricate tapestry woven from a multitude of threads - emerging artists, evolving tastes, and societal shifts. As we celebrate Muza's influential role, we also anticipate the exhilarating unpredictability of the ever-changing musical landscape.

MUZA SWITCHES IT UP WITH “HEY FELICIA” - Muza isn’t saying ”Bye Felicia” but instead “Hey Felicia” with his new anthem for the ladies of the night. After being successful in the Bollywood market, “Hey Felicia” is about appreciating, accepting and understanding strippers. He stresses that we need to see them as human beings who work hard to pay and live as anyone else would.

For “Chameleon,” Schoenwetter teamed up with Muza, a fellow producer with whom he’s worked before, and vocalist Juliette Rilley. The track takes on a pop structure from a songwriting standpoint in order to feature Rilley’s vocals but it still has a very theatrical EDM feel, with its beat being grounded in future bass. It’s a great crossover piece and will work for break music in a festival set or on the pop radio charts.
